Fire on Ice. USSA & TLR Cup Race #6
Great day today for the team Woody's factory race team! Malcolm placed 1,1,2 in his qualifying rounds starting him second on the front row. Malcolm was running third out of turn two after the start of the final, with a accident in the first corner they red flagged the race. After the restart, Malcolm pulled the hole shot and never looked back winning with a huge gap. This is the #33 's second victory of the season. Congrats to the entire team, stay tuned for tomorrows race.

49th World Chamionship Snowmobile Derby & TLR Cup Race #3
Had in exciting win yesterday!! Took first in the Factory 600 World Championship and placed in the top 10 for Sunday's Derby!

Had a great day of practice yesterday. Placed 3rd in the TLR Cup due to motor problems/malfunctioning stator. Team worked on the sled and is running great! Getting pumped for Friday Night Thunder tonight!!

Portage County Ice Wars. USSA & TLR Cup Race #1
Great weekend in Amherst WI! Saturday we finished 4th to start the TLR series. Sunday was a different story, winning all the heat races we were in and pulling the hole shot in the final to lead all the laps and get our first victory for the season! We are still making our way back home, to get some rest and prep for the WC.

Canadian Power Toboggan Championship
We have officially kicked off the 2012 race season! We are very excited to start the season with our long term sponsors and two new companies. For the third year in a row, Team Woody’s will be our Title Sponsor. Chartier Motorsports is proud to be the Team Woody’s Factory Racing Team. This year we have joined forces with EVS Sports as the official protective gear of Chartier Motorsports. Malcolm will be racing with their new SV1R snow vest, Web Knee Braces, and recently released R4 race collar. This past fall we also signed with Fly Racing.
The season opener in Beausejour Manitoba was great for Chartier Motorsports as we landed on the podium both days. We arrived at the track Thursday afternoon to see the track crew did a great job of laying ice with such short time of cold weather. We were able to get onto the ice to shake the cob webs out for a few hours.
Friday we turned a lot of laps, with a few adjustments to our new Houle chassis and decided on which motor to run. The team worked hard swapping out motors and trying different combinations. It was mainly a shakedown day to get the bugs out of the sled and get our top speed up for the big half mile track. The team learned a lot about our new sled and Rotax motors. Saturday was the first day of racing; our hole shots were great and top speed consistent around 102 mph. In the first three rounds Malcolm finished with 1-1-4, starting with the pole position for the final. In the final, Malcolm was second to the corner coming out in second. #33 did his best when trying to pass, but was unable to get by the leader and finished in 2nd place.
Sunday was an exciting day, we knew how we stood against other teams, and continued to work harder to find that extra edge we needed. Malcolm was flying in his qualifying rounds placing 1-1-2. He posted the fastest speed of the day in the third round of 106 mph. With track conditions not looking great for the final it was going to be up to a hole shot and riding around the dirt that was present in the first and fourth corner. Malcolm was battling for third at the beginning of the race, he was able to shake the riders behind him and attempt to pass in-front but was unable to. He finished a strong 3rd place to cap the weekend.
Team Woody’s / Chartier Motorsports accomplished a lot this weekend and are excited to place so well for the season opener. It is a definite confidence booster for the team, we plan work harder now to get harder now to find that little extra edge on the competition.

Great day today to start off the season! Went 1st, 1st, and 4th in the heat races, and 2nd in the final behind Brandon Johnson who ran a great race. We are very happy with our new Houle chassis and reached 105 mph today! Big thanks to the crew who traveled 23 hours with me to get here: Mike Houle, Mark Nabozny, and dad. Going to get a steak to eat and hit it harder tomorrow. -33
